Charles W. Ackley was born to Don and Elizabeth Ackley on January 1, 1951, in Wichita, Kansas.
Charlie pass away unexpectedly on October 22, 2013 at the age of 62. Charlie is survived by his longtime girlfriend Kathy Osborne, sisters Diane DeMeerleer (Art) and Jan Noges (Paul), Laura Noges, Lia Schmitz (Michael) and Peter Nogrs.
Charlie never married but filled his life with many friends. Charlie graduated from Highline High School in 1969 and joined the Navy where proudly served as a Fire Control Technician on the USS Richard E. Byrd (DDG-23) during Vietnam War. After completing his Navy service, he worked at Boeing Defence Systems as an Electronic Technician.
Charlie loved his things, but he loved his family and friends even more. He was a powerful force, fun loving, quick witted and gave his undivided attention when needed. He will be greatly missed, he was a gift!
A service is planned for November 7th @ 2:30 at Tahoma National Cemetery.
A Celebration of life will be held on December 8, 2013 from 1-4pm at the LeMay Car Museum in Tacoma.
