Emil A. Matson, McKinley-
Mr. Matson, 73, of McKinley, died Friday at the Hoyt Nursing home, Saginaw, after a long illness. A retired carpenter, he was born Dec. 8, 1887, in Tawas City. Mr. Matson was a member of Rose City Masonic Lodge 481. He moved to McKinley in Oscoda county in 1945 from Saginaw. Surviving are his wife; eight daughters, Mrs. Roy K. Lee, Mrs. Roy McClure and Mrs. Henry Welzin, all of Saginaw; Mrs. Arthur McClellan, Detroit; Mrs. William Maier, Mrs. Stanley Luttenbacher and Mrs. William Winton, all of Mio, and Mrs. Emerson Emery, Flint; four sons, Frank, Saginaw; Russell and Oscar, both of Detorit, and Burr, in Florida; a sister, Mrs. Emma Branzell, Flint, 31 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Larrison funeral home, Mio, with the Rev. Lowell Troyer officiating. Burial will be [March 19, 1962] in South Branch cemetery under the auspices of the Rose City Masonic Lodge.
