Dorothy (Dee) Moultrie, 70, of Adna, Wash., passed away on Oct. 20, 2012 at Centralia Providence Hospital at 4:04 p.m. She was born in Stella Mo., on July 21, 1942, to Dortha Ellen Laughlin and Leonard Marion Cooper Sr., she was the oldest of many children. She was married to Marvin Leon (Lee) Moultrie Jr., on Aug. 25, 1973. She worked at Steck Medical Center and Centralia General Hospital for many years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Leon (Lee) Moultrie Jr., her infant son, Wayne and a brother, Leonard Marion Cooper Jr. She is survived by her children, Rocky Kitchen, Marvin Leon Moultrie III, Robert (Melinda) Moultrie, Kimberly (John) Dunlap, and grandchildren, Kendall Moultrie, Daisy and Robert Dunlap, also many nieces and nephews. She loved to read murder mysteries, painting, crafting, crocheting and working on her genealogy. Mom belonged to the Adna Ward of the LDS Church in Chehalis. She fought with Parkinson's disease for about 41 years and was diagnosed with it at the age of 29, and at that time she was the youngest person ever diagnosed. She is a true inspiration to us all. She showed us all how to keep fighting until the very end. We will miss her terribly, but we know that she is truly in a better place. We love you mom.
Services are being held on Friday, October 26, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Church on Jackson Highway.
