Funeral services for Francis E. Asbell, 56, who died in a local hospital Wednesday night, will be held at 11 o'clock Friday morning in the chapel of Hart's Mortuary. Rev. A.C. Baker pastor of the Tabernacle Baptist church will conduct services. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Asbell was born in Twiggs County on Oct. 29, 1876, and came to Macon 30 years ago. He had been an agent for the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company for 17 years. He was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church, Macon Lodge No. 5, and the Knights of Pythias. Member of the Macon Lodge will have charge of service at the grave.
Pallbearers have been selected from the insurance office, the lodge and men's Bible class. They will be Charles S. Joyner, Charles E. Grace, James F. Eubanks, Wilbur Shepherd, Charles H. Hunnicutt and G.O. Hardison.
