Troy D. Barton, 52, of Southaven, MS, died October 20, 2014. Mr. Barton was a retired elevator mechanic and United Methodist Minister. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Laurie A. Barton; two daughters, Anna and Catherine Barton; his parents, Charles and Ann Barton; one sister, Donna Hughey; and his beloved dog, Chloe. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 23, 2014 from 5-8 pm at Minor Memorial United Methodist Church, 6120 Goodman Road, Walls, MS. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 24, 2014 at 10am. Interment will follow in Edmondson Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be directed to Camp Lake Stephens, 117 Lake Stephens Dr., Oxford, MS 38655.
