Elaine Gale Brown, 45
Elaine Gale Brown, 45, of the Phillipsburg Community of Marion County, died July 27, 1999, at Baptist East Hospital, Louisville.
Brown was born Feb. 13, 1954, in Washington County. She was employed as a rural mail carrier for the postal service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Lucy Mock Woford; one brother, Chris Woford; one grandson, Tyler Andrew Murphy.
Survivors include: her husband, Joseph A. (Joe) Brown, Phillipsburg; two sons, Jimmy Joe Brown, Columbia and Matt Brown, Phillipsburg; one daughter, Becky Brown, Lebanon; three brothers, Mike Woford, Springfield, Dwight Woford, Chaplin, and Daniel Woford, Lawrenceburg; one sister, Emily Hicks, Springfield; three grandchildren, Tyler Spoon, Brittany and Ashley Brown.
Funeral services were held July 30, at Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church, Finley, with burial in the St. Francis DeSalles Catholic Church Cemetery, Spurlington. Father Jack Caldwell and Father Jim Mudd officiated.
Pallbearers were Doug Yates, Larry Caldwell, Jim Woford, Carl Spalding, Brad Taylor and Trent Tucker.
Bosley Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
