Archibald Hugh CLARK was a Corporal in the 2nd Waikato Reg. and received th New Zealand War Medal 1860-1870.
Went to sea, then went goldmining.
He moved to Waihi, was elected to the Waihi Borough Council, and was the first chairman of the Waihi Hospital Board.

"CLARK. The death occurred at Waihi on Saturday last of Mr A H Clark, brother of the late Mr John A Clark of Tauranga. The deceased was one of the pioneers of the district and worked with a willing hand to promote its welfare. At the inauguration of the borough he took an active part in local politics and at a later period was for some time a member of the Borough Council, and also a member of the Hospital Board. For many years he was treasurer of the local Foresters court and held several other positions of trust, and in his public and private capacities he was noted for the faithful manner in which he discharged his duties and was held in high esteem by all who knew him. 1918/7867 Clark Archibald Hugh 76Y"
