"Forrest passed away on January 18, 2013, when an armed gunman took his life at the gas station store where he worked for six years, just across the street from Kelseyville High School, which he once attended. Forrest grew up in Kelseyville. He was sometimes shy, but funny, sweet and easy-going. As a child, during the summer he enjoyed lake life, sold lemonade at makeshift stands and enjoyed listening to music. He was naturally intelligent, but laid-back and content. Forrest wasn't an athlete or a big shot, but he was the best son, brother and friend anyone could have. His concern for others always superceded his concern for himself. He was selfless, comforting and kind. Forrest loved his family and friends foremost. His family recalls wonderful trips to Fort Bragg. His sister Rebekah adored Forrest and even though she was 13 years his junior, he took her anywhere she wanted to go. They loved road trips and concerts. Forrest's death is a tremendous loss for family, friends and a community that loved him. His gentle smile and comforting shoulder will be missed more than words can express. Family members are grateful for the outpouring of emotion and offers of support from the only place that Forrest knew as home. Forrest is survived by his mother, Mary Behrens; brother, Christian Seagrave; sister, Catherine Seagrave; brother, Nicholas Wainwright-Behrens; and sister, Rebekah Behrens. Forrest is also survived by numerous members of his extended family. "
