Iva Bridges was the third daughter and fourth child born to Samuel P. and Lucinda Myers Bridges. She was born on 16 Feb., 1873 in Maysville, Kentucky. Her nickname was Ivy.

On 3 Nov 1893, she maried William Ellsworth Mullineux of Gallipolis, Ohio.
They were the parents of one daughter, Nelle Bridges Mullineaux.

Iva Bridges is found in the following US Federal Census records:
- 1900 for Madison, Clark Co., Ohio with her spouse, William Ellsworth Mullineux, and young daughter
- 1910 for Wellston, Jackson Co., Ohio, with spouse and daughter
- 1920 for Toledo, Lucas Co., Ohio, with spouse

Iva was a accomplished quilter. We know this because we have an embroidered blue and white baby quilt she made for her only grandson, Albert Watt Hobt Jr. We also have a red and white "Jacob's Ladder" quilt, and and yellow and white "Robbing Peter to Pay Paul" or "Orange Peel" quilt. An engraved silver thimble bearing her name is a family treasure. As is her baby spoon with teeth mark indentations.

Iva Mullineux died on 6 Jan 1929 at Toledo, Ohio. Her age at death was 57y, 10m, 20d.

Her obituary reports she died of complications from a prior surgery:
