Nadine, also known as Granny and Aunt NeNe, left us all an January 14, 2016 the day of her birth.

She was the oldest child of Rchard "Dick" Maddox and Marion Ione Davey Maddox.

Nadine and Ernest E. "Ernie" Alford were married June 4, 1941, raised five children, who all survive. Eddy and wife Elita, Gary and wife Lorna, Judy and husband Calvin Bower, Rick and wife Lisa and Janice and husband Stan Devena. Thirteen grand children, 32 great grand children, 5 great, great grand children and many nieces and nephews.

Nadine and Ernie raised crops and milked Holstien Cows at their farm south east of Lawton, Kansas. The children also worked the farm when old enough and not in school, cooking three meals a day, raising animals, operating machinery and gardening.

Preceding her to heaven was her little brother Johnnie, 1929-1931, mother Ione, 1904- Christmas Eve, 1931, father Dick Maddox, 1901-1961, sister Virginia Maddox Mitchell, 1923-1998 and brother Leon Maddox, 1931-2011.

Surviving, along with children, is "Brother" Art Maddox, and sister Deloris Maddox Hodge.

Gravesite Details

Visitation will be at the Lawton, Kansas Baptist Church, 1:00, Tuesday January 19, 2016 with a memorial service at 2:00. Burial will be that day at the Carl Junction, Missouri Cemetery.
