FYI - She attended the Pennsylvania Institution for the deaf and dumb in Philadelphia. She became deaf at age 1 because of scrofulous otorrhea. She met and married Jacob Trier, who also attended the Institution. They were married on November 6, 1877 at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Philadelphia, PA. Her parents were James and Harriet Dixon.
