John Edward Armstrong, 66, died at his home in Turkey Tuesday night at 11 o'clock. Services were held from the residence Thursday afternoon at 3, with the Rev. Edward A. Walker officiating. Burial was in the Turkey Baptist Church cemetery. Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Rachel Louise; one son, John Edward III, of the Navy; two sisters, Mrs. W. H. Carroll of Turkey, and Mrs. C. J. Carroll of Goldsboro.
