Funeral services for retired Master Sgt. John Medwyn Broderick, 73, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 11, from St. Paul Catholic Church.

The Rev. Marshall Boulet will officiate. Entombment will be in the church mausoleum under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings.

Sgt. Broderick died at 1:41 a.m. Friday, April 9, 1993 in a local hospital. A native of Elton, he was a graduate of Elton High School. He was a retired Army veteran of World War II, the Korean Conflict, and the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Elsie Linscomb Broderick; one son, John Michael Broderick of LaPlata, Md.; one daughter, Mrs. Marilyn Dewees of Elton; two sisters, Mrs. Katherine Marcantel of Fenton, and Mrs. Lenora Wofford of Kinder, eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
