The 10th Child of 14 or 15, Edmund grew up in a large family,
Edmund and Hattie were married 0n March 20th 1878 In Clarion Iowa
The two had 7 known children.

Some time between 1880 and 1885 Edmund became a Brakeman for the Railroads.
A significant amount of his son's worked their entire careers, for the railroads.

some time about 1900 he turned to farming

Edmund married Emily Miralia "Hattie" Nichols in March 20 1878 in Clarion, Wright, Iowa.
Hattie was the daughter of William Henry Nichols and Lydia M. Waite.
Hattie had two siblings Louise Nichols and William B. Nichols

After raising a family, Edmund enlisted in the Marines out of Belmont co., in 1896, at the age of 36.
He was a carpenter in Center Grove When Emily died.

Edmund moved to Mt. Vernon Ohio in 1914 and re-married to Anna Coss in May 15 1914
daughter of Wesley Cline and Matilda Leoma. There were no children to this marriage.
