FURRS – Ethel Lounetta "Jackie" Cooper, 86, died Friday, Dec. 30, 2011 at the North Mississippi Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born June 16, 1925 in Brewer to Gurley and Lonie Bell West. She was a homemaker and a seamstress at Reed's Manufacturing. She was a longtime member of Furrs Baptist Church. She enjoyed piecing quilts, boat riding and going out to eat. She loved her family and going to church when she was able.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Walter Simmons officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.

Survivors include her son, Gerald Cooper and wife Bobbie of Ecru; one sister, Hilda Sullivan of Evergreen; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert L. Cooper; two brothers, Clovis West and Ferrell West; three sisters, Gertie Bell Shumpert, Flora Dale Poyner and Sibyl Patterson Hall.

Pallbearers will be Carl Patterson, Gurley Poyner, David Poyner, Zack Sims, Paul White and Johnny Bowen. Honorary Pallbearers will be Sonny White and Andrew White.

Memorials may be made to Furrs Baptist Church

Visitation will continue today from 12:30 until 2.
