Carl W. Puckett, age 95, of Milaca, died April 2, 2010 at Milaca Elim Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at 11 AM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Milaca with Rev. David Hahn and Rev. Marvin Blaske officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Milaca. Visitation will be from 5 – 8 PM on Monday at the church with a prayer service at 7:30 PM. Casketbearers will include Terry Bemis, Scott Totzke, Troy Puckett, Wayne Bekius, Bernie Rimnac, Jimmie Grimsley, Mike Eggert, Chris Sanders, Brad Stoltenow and Ruston Totzke. Honorary casketbearers will include Julie Bemis, Beth Totzke, Becky Puckett, Pam Bekius, Cindy Rimnac, Joelle Grimsley, Darla Eggert, Tanya Sanders, Theresa Totzke, Jodie Stoltenow, Butch Hastings, Jim Marudas, Lowell Mycue, Don Black, Vernon Koch, Pete Hydukovich and Farrell Maurer. Carl William Puckett was born May 27, 1914 in New London, IA to William Albert and Ruth Elizabeth (Meier) Puckett. He was united in marriage to Minnie on March 31, 1935 at her parents' home near Ogilvie, MN. The couple farmed near Ogilvie for several years and moved to Milaca in 1943 where they raised their family. After moving to Milaca, Carl was self employed in the gravel and trucking business. He was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie in 2005. Carl's hobby was classic and antique automobiles and he was a member of the Old Car Club. He was also an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Milaca.

He is survived by his four children, Lanaya (Harry) Totzke of Milaca, Darlene (Alden) Bemis of Milaca, Paul (Carla) Puckett of Cologne, MN and Joel Puckett of Minneapolis; 10 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Pearl Walton of Coon Rapids and Virginia (Davis) Larson of South Lake Tahoe, CA; brother, David Puckett of Victorville, CA; also by many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie; granddaughter, Linda Bemis; brother, Albert and sister, Betty.
