Edward Daniels, 91
Edward Daniels, age 91, died on January 27 1996 at the Crestview Manor in Evansville, Minnesota. Edward was born on January 10, 1905 at Alexandria, the son of Charles and Amelia (Reuckheim) Daniels. Because his mother died when he was only five years of age, Edwarrrd lived with the Iver Iverson family from the time he was eight years old until adulthood. He attended School District no. 83 in Alexandria Township and as a young adult, worked with his father, Charles Daniels in the cement contracting business.
Edward was married to Helen Bergan in Glenwood on September 15, 1935. Edward and Helen lived in Glenwood for a year before moving to Alexandria where they owned and operated a dairy farm until 1986. Helen died in 1987 and Edward continued to make his home on the farm until October of 1994. He then became a resident of Crestview Manor in Evansville. In addition to his wife, Edward was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Eleanor Colehour and Esther O'Brien, and a brother Arthur Daniels.
He is survived by a son Ralph of Alexandria, and a daughter Virgene Frazier of Crosby, TX.
Funeral services were held at the Anderson Funeral home Chapel on January 30, 1996. Reverend Ron Otterson officiated at the service and organ music was provided by Marlene Lentz. Gloria Whiting served as vocal soloist.
Ralph Richardson, Wayne whiting, Wilbur Olson, Clayton Olson, Orvin Olson and Orris Olson were the pallbearers. Interment will be in the Nelson Cemetery. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home, Alexandria.
