Final rites for Frank Leo Billiet, resident of Big Stone and Traverse counties for the past 50 years who passed away at the Holy Trinity Hospital suddenly on the 26th of December, were held at the Holy Rosary church in Graceville with interment in Lakeside Cemetery. Father Donald Eichinger officiated at the services. Frank Leo Billiet was born April 22, 1888, in Hoopole, Ill., to Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Billiet, now both deceased. On February 16, 1920, he was united in marriage to Sara Myers in Barry and to this union five children were born. He was engaged in farming all of his life and was a member of the American Legion, Holy Rosary Church and Holy Name Society. He is survived by his wife, Sara; Francis Billiet, Mound; Mrs. Clarence (Dorothy) Kleindl and Raymond Billiet, Graceville; Mrs. Dean (Rita) Schuster, Chokio; Harold, Minneapolis; sisters Mrs. O.B. (Clara) Wasbutton [Wasbotten], Duluth; Mrs. Thomas (Florence) Toner, Ortonville; Mrs. Peter (Mabel) Van Acker, Sheffield, Ill.; brothers Henry and Arthur, Annawan, Ill.; Lester, Los Angles, Raymond, Ortonville; Carl and Peter, Graceville. He was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers. He served in the army from August 27, 1918 until June 20, 1919, at Camp Grant, Ill. Out of town relatives including the survivors were Ben Billiet, Tracy; Walter Doubler, Walnut Grove; Art Doubler and Mrs. Ray Betts, Milwaukee. Pallbearers were Thomas Cauley, Martin Steanland, Wes Arnoldi, Albert Hendricks, Wilford Kehoe and Jim Reedy.
