Jackson B. Acker was born April 21st, 1820 in Pickens County, Alabama and died June 30, 1873. He was the son of Alfred Halbert Acker and Rachel Herring. His grandparents were Joseph Acker and Ruth Alexander and Elijah Herring and Epsey Moses.
Jackson was raised in the Springhill Community of Pickens County, Alabama. In 1841 he married Margaret Lucinda Crime. They made their home in the community where they were born and had four children - Martha F., Christopher Columbus, Margaret Ann "Annie", and Safronia Josephine "Joe".
J.B. Acker is listed in the cemetery book of 1983 as being buried in the Spring Hill Cemetery off CR 12. There is an illegible marker next to Margaret Acker and it likely belongs to him.
