Mrs Alice Pond Dead
Mrs Alice L Pond died yesterday at her home on Montague City road after a lingering illness. She was a native of Greenfield, the daughter of Mr and Mrs James Langley, and the widow of Aaron Pond, a Civil war veteran. She leaves four children Lyman L and Earl L Pond of this town, Clayton E of Athol and Mrs Lottie Westfall of Troy, N.Y. The funeral will be held at the McCarthy undertaking parlors Saturday morning at 9.30. Rev. James G Lane will officiate. The body will be taken to Keene, N.H. for burial.
