Kathleen M. Molinari, 71, of McGaheysville (formerly from Lanhan, MD), died on Sunday, November 18, 2012 at her home, that she and her husband, David L. Molinari built together in 1985 in Massanutten Resort, VA.
Born on May 1, 1941 in Flushing, NY, the daughter of the late Lt. Col. Edmund F. and Mary Margaret (Robinson) Kennedy. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Margaret (Kennedy) Schwaiger.
She worked at Douglas Distributing in SE, DC and Insurance Institute of Highway Safety at the Watergate, NW, DC. When they moved to VA, she and her husband opened VIP Kennels in McGaheysville, VA. In her later years she worked for Wal-Mart in Harrisonburg, VA. She was an active member of the Holy Infant Catholic Church and was a member of the Shenandoah Valley Choral Society for two decades.
On July 4, 1959 she married her husband of 54 years, David L. Molinari; three children, David V. Molinari and wife, Lili of McGaheysville, VA, Sherri L. Oakley and Shawn of Owings, MD, Diana L. Berthod and husband, Louis of Elkton, VA; fourteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and many friends and extended family.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Kyger Funeral Home Chapel in Elkton with Rev. Fred LaSpina officiating.
Cremated, Ashes scattered.
