Aral Edgar Myers, 81, of Lewistown, Mo., died Monday, April 14, 2003, in Blessing Hospital, Quincy, Ill. Born July 14, 1921, at Novelty, Mo., a son of Isaac Aral and Mabel G. Sellers Myers. He married Mary Kay Gardner, February 21, 1969, in Jefferson, Ia. She survives. Mr. Myers attended schools in rural Knox County, Mo., and the CCC Camp, at Canton. He was employed at a Gun Plant, and Markim Sign Company, Pocatello, Idaho, and Shriver Construction Co., Jefferson, Ia. In 1972, he moved to Lewistown, Mo., and was employed at Gardner-Denver, Quincy, until retiring in 1984. Mr. Myers was a member of the Latter Day Saints. Survivors include his wife, Mary Kay, Lewistown; one daughter, Cathi Reay and husband George, and one son, Robert E. Myers and wife, Billie, all of Pocatello, Idaho; one sister, Honore Sederwall, LaGrange, Mo.; three grandchildren, Tom Reay, and Jason Myers and wife, Desiree, of Pocatello, Idaho, and Lt. Ryan Reay and wife, Christina, Lawton, Okla. Also surviving are three great grandchildren, two nieces, one nephew four great nieces, and several step-nieces and step-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother-in-law, Bill Sederwall, of Quincy. Visitation was held Wednesday, April 16, and funeral services were Thursday, April 17, at Hudson-Rimer Funeral Chapel, Edina, Mo., with Rev. Sam Smith officiating.
