Robert and his family moved to Colorado Springs in 1997. He quickly became involved in youth hockey and was an accomplished goalie for several teams, and made many friends through the sport.
Ian graduated from Cheyenne Mountain High School in 2005.

He loved snowboarding, hacky sack and playing the guitar. Ian also had a special place in his heart for animals, especially his dog, Juno.
Ian was a student of philosophy, a movie buff and a fan of stand up comedy. He also never forgot his Chicago roots, coveting his Chicago Blackhawks.

Ian is survived by his parents, two brothers and paternal grandmother. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John and Mary Brock, and paternal grandfather Robert T.G. Doig. Ian was blessed with a very large family who loved him dearly including 13 aunts, 14 uncles and 33 first cousins. He will also be missed by the many friends that enriched his life.

There will be a wake from 5 to 8pm today at Cappadona Funeral Home. A funeral mass will take place at 10am Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at St. Paul's Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Ian's name to the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or the LEAD Foundation.
