A memorial service for Eva M. Stoyanov, a resident of Portland for 42 years, was held Tuesday. Cremation was private. She died Saturday in a Portland hospital. She was 81.
Mrs. Stoyanov was born in Yugoslavia on May 19, 1902, and moved to the United States as a child. She was a homemaker, and she taught nursing classes in Portland residences for the American Red Cross. She was a member of the White Shield Home.
Survivors include four children, Sally M. Steigerwald of Dallas, Texas, Nancy J. Brame of Portland, Joan K. Blum of Kentfield, Calif., and Milan Stroyanov of Portland; a sister, Alexandra M. Lanier of Birmingham, Ala.; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
