Ethel Marie (Peterson) Bredahl, lifelong resident of the River Falls area died Thursday, August 16, at the age of 87.
Born June 27, 1897, to Herman and Elise Peterson of Martell Township in Pierce County, she attended Friar Scholl and was confirmed in the South Rush River Lutheran Church. She was united in marriage to Welsie Earl Bredahl on March 5, 1921.
During their 38 years of marriage their home was the Bredahl farm on Hwy. 35 west of Beldenville. In 1964, she moved to River falls. During the past two and a half years, she lived in the Kinnic Homein River Falls.
Ethel Bredahl was a popular seamstress and homemaker. She provided a home for several foster children including Arnold and Charles Geister who now live in her former Westside home in River Falls. Close friends described her as a patient lady with a gentle sense of humor and a ready smile for everyone she met. Her family and large circle of friends will remember her with deep affection.
