Mirrel Orville Fields born Feb. 18, 1919 in Snyder, Kiowa, OK, passed away on Jun 29, 2011 at his home near Magnolia, Montgomery, TX. He was the son of David Noah Fields and Belle Loduska Montgomery Fields. Mirrel served as a Sargent in the Army during WW11.
He married Dorothy Faye Harris on Nov 30, 1940 in Buckeye, Maricopa, AZ. Two children were born to this union;
Jerry Orval Fields
Pamela Ann Fields.
Mirrel was one of the last real cowboys of his era. A man's man with a gentle spirit and kind heart. He was a most loved father and grandfather and "left a hole in our hearts" as his granddaughter, Cheri said at his memorial.
He was survived by his wife, Dorothy Faye Harris Fields of the home, a son, Jerry Orval Fields and wife Carol Ann Cooper Fields of Magnolia, TX, a daughter, Pamela Ann Fields Snyder of Magnolia, TX; 6 grand children: Cheri Denise Fields Dyer and husband Robert Daniel Dyer of Houston, TX, Traci Annette Fields Watts and husband Paul Douglas Watts of Magnolia, TX, Jerry Robert Fields and wife Myrna Ellen Payne Fields of Houston, TX, Penni Michelle Fields Olivares and husband Abel Lopez Olivares of Houston, TX, Michael Dean Snyder of Galveston, TX, Travis Mirrel Snyder of Magnolia, TX; 11 great-grand children, a sister Wanda Faye Fields Trower and husband Don Trower of CA.
He was proceeded in death by his parents David Noah Fields and Belle Ludusta Montgomery Fields, three brothers, Lewis David (Louie), Eldridge Noah, and Mack Wallas Fields and two sisters, Vivan Opal Fields Ware and Lottie Flora Fields Hill.
