Joint services for two Shreveport sisters, Mrs. Carrie Woods and Aline Hamiter, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Osborn Funeral Home Chapel.
Officiating will be Dr. William H. Hull, pastor of First Baptist Church, the Rev. Leonard Dupree, associate pastor of First Baptist Church, and Dr. Ronald Prince, pastor of First Baptist Church of Minden.
Graveside services will be at noon Tuesday at Arlington Cemetery in Homer.
The women died in an automobile accident about 5:45 p.m. Friday in the 200 block of East Kings Highway.
Miss Hamiter, 76, of 608 Ratcliff, was a native of Homer and had lived in Shreveport for 36 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Shreveport Soroptimist Club. She was executive secetary of the Shreveport Chapter of Chartered Life Underwriters and the Life Underwriters Association and was a chartered life underwriter.
Mrs. Woods, 81, of 503 Forest Ave., was a native of Homer. She had lived in Minden for 50 years before moving to Shreveport about two years ago. Mrs. Woods was a member of First Baptist Church.
Both are survived by a brother, Samuel Thomas Hamiter of Shreveport, Mrs. Woods' other survivors include one daughter, Mrs. James H. Ponder of Shreveport; one son, John William Woods of Houston, Tex.; and six grandchildren.
Memorial contributions for Miss Hamiter may be made to the Shreveport Soroptimist Club and memorial contributions for Mrs. Woods may be made to the Baptist Children's Home of Monroe.
