Terry Levon Griffin, 53, of 9 Pitts Street, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2009 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House.

A native of York County, Mr. Griffin was born May 19, 1956 a son of the late James D. and Azzile Gamble Griffin. He was employed in Construction and was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church.

Surviving are his son Terry Kane Griffin of Rock Hill, five sisters June “Louise” Hollinger of Rock Hill, Betty Taylor of Rock Hill, Nancy Mobley of Catawba, Sheila Millstead of Rock Hill and Mary Knight of Ft. Mill.

A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Griffin will be held Wednesday at 2:00pm in the chapel of Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home with Evangelist Debbie Key officiating. Interment will follow at Westside Cemetery in Lancaster. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until the hour of service on Wednesday.
