Funeral services for Dove Creek resident, Donald Rose, will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 28, 2004, at the Dove Creek First Southern Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the Dove Creek Cemetery.

Donald was born on Feburary 26, 1918 in Colorado Springs CO, the son of John William and Cora Bell (Moulder) Rose. He passed away on Monday, Feburary 23, 2004 at the Vista Grand Nursing Home. He would have celebrated his 86th. birthday on Thursday.

On March 31, 1941 in Aztec NM, Donald married his sweetheart Goldie Lorene McNeely. With this union four children were born. Donald worked as a mechanic, a career he enjoyed. Upon his retirement Donald and Goldie spent much of their free time camping and fishing.

Surviving him is his beloved wife, Goldie of the Dove Creek home: his children: Donna Sellard of San Jose CA, Linda (Larry) Perkins of Ignacio CO, and Diane (Donald) Shutt of Cortez CO. As well as six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death are his parents; son, Frankie, who passed away in 1960; his son-in-law, Lonnie Sellard, and three brothers and four sisters.

Services were under the directions of Ertel Funeral Home.
