Survivors include her father and stepmother, Donald R. and Frances Long of Centralia, Missouri; her mother and stepfather, Joseph and Arvilla McClellan of Columbia, Missouri; one sister, Sharon Walkup of Dallas, Texas; two brothers, Donald R. Long, Jr. of Dallas, Texas, and Michael K. Long of Columbia,Missouri; two stepsisters, Sharon Pauley of Columbia, Missouri, and Pam Dorman of Centralia, Missouri; two stepbrothers, Dwayne Fairley of Ashland, Missouri, and Gene Fairley of Jefferson City, Missouri;one grandmother, Hettie Deacon Gehlauf of Columbia, Missouri;and several nieces and nephews. Janet attended Jefferson Junior High School and graduated in 1962, from David H. Hickman High School in Columbia, Missouri. She lived most of her life in Dallas, Texas and was employed as a stenographer. She was a member of the Quinlan Baptist Church in Quinlan, Texas.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on
Wednesday (December31, 1997), at the La Plata Cemetery, La Plata, Missouri, with the Reverend Jessie Barnhart officiating.
