Funeral services were conducted Saturday at the Maeser ward chapel for David S. Atwood, year-old son of Alburn D. and Louise Stringham Atwood, who died Thursday at the Uintah Basin Hospital.
The child is survived by his parents, by his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Atwood of Vernal and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Ella Stringham of Ogden. A paternal great-grandfather, Joseph Atwood of Vernal, and a maternal great-grandmother, Mrs Emma L. Wimmer of Neola, also survive, He was born Oct. 26, 1945.
Prayer was offered at the home of Garth J. Atwood, Pall bearers were Thad Stringham, Ralph Place, Raymond Bascom and Ralph Morrison.
Speakers included Merrill Anderson and Carl R Richens. Musical numbers were presented by the following: a quartet composed of Gerald Caldwell, Mrs. Luella Merkley, Mrs Virginia Hacking and Arnold A. Ahransirack, accompanied by Mrs. Gerald Caldwell; a violin solo by Margaret Caldwell; a vocal duet by Virginia Hacking and Luella Merkley; a vocal solo by Lucille Calder.
Prayers were offered by Mark M. Hall and Melvin James. Burial was at the Fairview cemetery.
Those who attended from distant points included Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Place and Mrs. Wilford White of Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin James and Mrs. Ella Stringham of Ogden; Mr. and Mrs. Mark Stringham and Acel Wimmer of Logan; Mrs. Emma L. Wimmer and daughter of Neola; and Mrs. Eva Bellon, Mrs. Thora Yack and Mrs. Janice Yack of Roosevelt.
