Caroline "Carrie" Hopkey Freie, age 92, of Latimer, passed away Monday afternoon at Franklin General Hospital, in Hampton, where she had been a patient since January 16.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Latimer, with Rev Robert O. Faga officiating at the last rites.
Burial was in the St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery. The William Funeral Home of Latimer was in charge of arrangements.
Carrie Hopkey Freie was born November 15, 1876 in Marion township, Franklin County, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Hopkey. She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church at Beed'sLake.
She lived all of her life in Marion township and Latimer.
She was married to Henry W. Freie October 29, 1902 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, in Latimer. Mr. Freie passed away July 8, 1964.
She is survived by one son, Leslie B. Freie, and one Daughter, Mrs. W. F. (Erma) Pralle, both of Latimer; six grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and one great, grandchild.
Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by four brothers, four sisters and two great grandchildren.
Carrie Hopkey Freie was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran church and the Cemetery Society.
