Death: Jun. 6, 1864

This is actually Jacob Wesley Sebastian born 1847 in Fayette, Illinois to Wesley Sebastian and Emily "Millie" Birchfield. It is confusing because his two brothers also fought with the Union and both of their names start with J.

John Franklin Sebastian served Co. D. 45th KY Mounted infantry. He was paroled from Richmond Prison and sent to Jarvis Hospital in Baltimore where he met President Lincoln. John became a postmaster, and ran a general store in Mountain KY. He was born in 15 May 1844 and died 6 March 1917, Magoffin County, KY.

James M Sebastian was born 24 Nov 1838 in Perry County, Ky. He enlisted in Co. A 7th KY as a private later becoming a Sargeant Major. He was wounded at Champion Hills, Mississippi May 16, 1863. His right leg was amputated. He was discharged September 22, 1863. He studied law and became an attorney for the circuit court of Owsley County, KY. He died 18 February 1907.

Jacob Wesley Sebastian was captured at Ivy Point War Skirmish at Salyersville, sent to Andersonville, Georgia prison and died there 7 April 1864.
