Mrs. Bertha S. Roser, 70, died at 10:10 p.m. Monday in the Wapakoneta Manor Nursing Home. Born Feb. 15, 1905, in New Knox- ville, she was a daughter of Herman H. and Sophia Oelrich Hoge. She married Leonard Bambauer, who died Aug. 22, 1964. On Oct. 17, 1968, she married Richard O. Roser, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Don Bambauer of San Rafael, Calif.; three grandchildren; a step- daughter, Mrs. Elmer (Marilyn) Neuman of New Knoxville; two stepsons, Bruce Roser of Rt. 4 and Carl Roser of 5319 S. Dixie, Cridersville; four step- grandchildren; six sisters, Laura Lageman of New Knoxville, Rebecca Tschantz of Lisbon, Esther Dalton of Brenerton, Wash., Mrs. E. J. (Marcella) Hoelscher of New Knoxville, Olga Hardwig of Walnut Creek. Calif., and Ella Kuck of Sidney; and three brothers, Gust Hoge, Joel Hoge and Oliver. Hoge, all of New Knoxville. She was a member of the First English Lutheran Church, the Or- der of Eastern Star, the Irving Club and the Retired Teachers Association. She had been a teacher in the local school system. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the church, Rev. H. Eldon Akerman officiating. Burial will be in St. Matthew's Cemetery, near Cridersville. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Bayliff and Son Funeral Home, Cridersville.
