Judith A. Demko

Judith A. (Peluchette) Demko, 61, of Canonsburg, formerly of Rural Ridge and Bairdford, West Deer, died Tuesday, May 9, 2006, at her residence.
Born April 24, 1945, in Bairdford, Judy grew up in Bairdford. She lived in Rural Ridge for several years before moving to Canonsburg four years ago.
Judy was an EMT for Lower Valley Ambulance and a home health aide for many years.
She was a member of Transfiguration Roman Catholic Church, Russellton. Judy was a foster parent for more than 60 children, being named Foster Parent of the Year. She enjoyed scrapbooking and bingo.
Survivors include her son, Jason (Lisa) Demko of South Park; three daughters, Robyn Demko and Aujanae Demko, both at home, and Terri (Jim Brown) Tennant of Canonsburg; seven grandchildren; five sisters, Audrey (John) Podmilsak of Acmetonia, Harmar, Janet Hamilton of Fort Myers, Fla., Connie (Andy) Schwab, Shirley Tahon and Karen Skurka, all of West Deer; and a brother, John "Coke" (Rose) Peluchette Jr. of Oxford.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John J. and Mildred M. Antolic Peluchette; her husband, John Demko Jr., on Aug. 14, 1987; a daughter, Tracy Demko; a brother, Lavern G. "Peanuts" Peluchette; and two sisters, Beatrice Lustic and Lois Zinner.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer, where parting prayers will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Friday.
Christian funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. in Transfiguration Church, Russellton.
Burial will follow in Deer Creek Cemetery, Harmar Township.
