Mr. Benjamin Franklin Crowe was born in Union County, North Carolina. He was the seventh of thirteen children of Mr. Benjamin J. Crowe and Daisy M. Crowe. He was educated in the Union County public schools in Waxhaw, NC. At an early age, he joined Ebenezer A.M.E. Zion Church. He later moved to Washington, DC and joined Trindale Baptist Church.

In 1963, he moved his membership to St. Stephen's Baptist Church. He was a charter member, served as Deacon, a Sunday School teacher and served as a Superintendent of the Sunday School for many years. He was a great Bible scholar and received several awards and certificates for these achievements.

Mr. Crowe quietly exchanged his lease on this life on Wednesday, November 6, 1996, at Washington Hospital Center, Washington, DC.

Those left to cherish his memories includes one sister, Mrs. Bleeka Cureton of Waxhaw, NC; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside service is 2 p.m. Saturday, November 16, 1996, in Eastside Cemetery, Waxhaw, NC.

Alexander Funeral Home, Charlotte, NC, is serving the family of Mr. Crowe
