"Marguerite Elizabeth (Korth) Donnell died Friday, Jan. 10, 1997, at Saint Francis Hospital, Topeka, KS. She was 77.
She was born Feb 6, 1919, in Leavenworth, the daughter of Otto Paul and Martha Marie (Butzin) Korth.
She was united in marriage to Mervyn C. Donnell on March 22, 1938, in Platte City, MO.
A lifelong resident of Leavenworth until moving to the Presbyterian Manor, Topeka, KS a couple of years ago due to failing health.
She had been employed as a health care worker at Saint John Hospital, Leavenworth, and an extended care facility in Easton, KS.
Margie and her husband were active in The National Campers and Hikers Association; the Tin Lizzie Unit of Abdallah Shrine, Kansas City, Kan.; Beauciant and White Shrine organizations.
She enjoyed crafts, cards, and board games.
She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Leavenworth.
Margie was preceded in death by her parents Otto Paul and Martha Marie (Butzin) Korth, husband Mervyn C. Donnell, sister Freda (Korth) Woodard, and brother Ernest Korth.
Survivors include two daughters; Deanna Charlene (Donnell) Mahaffey, Jewell, KS, Linda Jean (Donnell) Hollingshead, Silver Lake, KS; five grandchildren, James Langley, Sandra (Langley) Roesti, Anita (Langley) Joerg, Jennifer & Caroline Hollingshead and three great-grandchildren, Tyler & Tami Roesti and Brianna Joerg.
One sister, Edna (Korth) Asbury.
The burial will be at Sunset Memory Gardens in Leavenworth, KS."
