Elbert E. Bailey, 76, Kokomo, died Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at his home. He was born March 26, 1937, the son of Arlin E. Bailey and Althy R. (Taylor) Bailey. On May 11, 2013, he was united in marriage to Paulette (Morris) Sines, who survives.
He served his country in the United States Army and retired from Delco Electronics as a tool and die maker. He was a member of UAW Local 292, American Legion 34, and numerous car organizations. He loved cars, country music, fine food, birds, trains, and animals. His favorite place was Key West, Fla., where he vacationed with his friends many times.
In addition to his wife, Paulette Bailey, he is survived by two stepdaughters, Lisa N. (Johnny Shutt) Sines, Kokomo, and Brenda L. Abbott-LaFehr (Ray), Canton, Mich.; two stepsons, Todd E. Abbott, Raleigh, N.C., and Jon Sines (Missy), Burlington; six stepgrandchildren; one sister, Violet Rice, Kokomo; one niece, Rebecca (Kevin) Cantrell and Kelsey and Kyle Cantrell, all of Avon; and his two fur babies, Max and Mollie, at home.
His parents; stepmother, Clara (Davis) Bailey; one sister, Eloise Querry; and infant brother, Joe Bob Bailey, preceded him in death.

There will be a memorial service at 6 p.m. Thursday at Galilean Missionary Baptist, 507 N. Union St., Kokomo, with Pastor Darrell Colburn officiating. Entombment will take place in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
