Services were held at 9 am Wednesday at East Grand Forks Sacred Heart church for Mrs Maud Keeney, 68, who dies Sunday at a hospital here. She had been hospitalized since October 1.
The body will lie in state at Norman funeral home Tuesday evening, with rosary recitation at 8 pm. Rev A.I. Merth will officiate and burial will take place at Calvary cemetery.
Mrs. Keeney was born in Indiana, April 15, 1883 and came to Grand Forks about a month ago from Warroad, Minn. She had been residing here with her daughter Mrs. Edna Rychart, 617 Lincoln Drive. Besides her daughter, a son James of Warroad and two grandchildren survive. A son, Lester was killed on the island of Leyte in World War II.
