The death of Mrs. Geo. Acres occurred suddenly on Sunday morning at the home of her brother, Mr. John Green, 7th line of Fitzroy. Deceased had been ailing with heart trouble for the past 5 or 6 years and this was the ultimate cause of death. She was a native of Fitzroy, being a daughter of the late William Greene. After her marriage she went to live in Torbolton, afterwards moving to Antrim, where Mr. Acres died a year ago last January. They had no family but deceased is survived by one sister and six brothers, namely, Mrs. James McVeitty, 3rd line of Fitroy; John Thomas and Robert H. on the 7th line of Fitzroy; Wm. J. Edward and George on the 6th line of Huntley.The funeral took place on Tuesday at 11 am. to St. Paul's church, 9th line of Fitzroy, where service was conducted by Rev. F. Clarke assisted by Rev. R. B. Watermann. There was a large attendance, testifying to the high esteem in which deceased was held. Her six brothers acting as pallbearers. Floral offerings included a cross from Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Green and daughter Helen and a wreath from Messrs. John and Hillard Green.
