Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Monday, for Arthur J. Herndon, 60, of Camdenton, who died Thursday night in a Kansas City hospital. He was a supervisor in the Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. in Camdenton. He was born Aug. 11, 1907, the son of Claude and Katherine Cushing Herndon. In 1933 he was married to the former Miss Mildred R. Weeks, who survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, John W. Herndon, Liberty; Ralph E. Herndon, Berkley; two sisters, Miss Ada Herndon, Kansas City; and Mrs. Elmer Maassen, Linn; two brothers, William F. Herndon, Linn; and Ronald F. Herndon, South 10 Mile Drive; and two granddaughters survive.
Mr. Herndon was employed by Bell since he was graduated from Linn High School. A veteran of World War II, he was a charter member and past commander of Lin Post No. 4756, Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was a member of the St. George Catholic Church, Linn, where funeral services will be with the Rev. J.W. Jaworshki officiating. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m., Sunday. Graveside military services will be at the Linn Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are in charge of Morton Funeral Service, Linn.
