DECATUR -- Samuel O. Boldini, 77, of Decatur, died 2:05 a.m. Wednesday (Oct. 16, 1996) in St. Mary's Hospital.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Paul's United Methodist Church. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Friday in Brintlinger's Funeral Home. Burial will be in Ponting Cemetery, Stonington with military rites conducted by Stonington American Legion Post 257. Memorials: DOVE.
Mr. Boldini was born in Stonington on Sept. 25, 1919, the son of Sisto and Germaine Lamorille Boldini. Mr. Boldini was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. He had worked at Archer Daniels Midland Co. as a millwright for 42 years, retiring in 1981. He was a World War II Army veteran serving with the 6th Armored Division in Europe. He earned a Combat Infantry Badge, Purple Heart, Bronze Star and four Battle Stars. He was a member of Stonington American Legion Post 257. He married Annabelle Cammack in Corydon, Ind. on March 8, 1947.
Surviving are his wife; daughters, Jetta Anne of Springfield; Kathy Bjelland of Maroa; sister, Margaret Robinson and husband Clinton of Stonington; brother, Bert and wife Lillian of Stonington; granddaughters, Sarah and Sonja Bjelland.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
