Rites Pay Honor To Mrs. Dufphey
Hailey, Jan 5--Funeral sevices were held Jan.3 for Mrs. Lillian Dufphey, 68, who died Sunday at her son's home in Rupert. She had been in ill health for several years and for the past five months had been confined to her bed.
Lillian Virginia Phipps was born in Virginia, Aug. 20, 1876, a daughter of Mollie J. Osborn and John Creed Phipps. On March 9, 1892, she was married to Richard Johnson Dufphey in Battle Creek, Neb. To this union was born one son, Preston Guy, who survives.
The family moved to Wood River in March of 1893 and has resided here ever since.
Survivors beside her son included a sister, Mrs. Mettie Hackler, and a nephew, Leonard Dufphey, both of Battle Creek, Neb.; a niece, Mrs. Virginia Thomas, Omaha, and two grandchildren.
Services were held at the Community church with the Rev. Augusta Jackley officiating. Pall bearers were Joseph Fuld, George Allen, A.T. Glenn, Fred Werry, Alec MacDonald and Hassell Blankenship.
Interment was in the Hailey cemetery beside her husband who preceded her in death in 1935.
