J. Harford Rites Set At Redfield

REDFIELD -- Funeral services Wednesday are arranged for John William Harford 70, Spink County resident since 1906 who died Sunday at the Redfield Community Memorial Hospital.
Officiating clergyman will be the Rev. John Sheild and services will be conducted at the Coleman Funeral Home, followed with interment at Athol Cemetery.
Harford had been employed with the Spink County Highway Department for 22 years, earlier was engaged in the trucking business.
Born March 5, 1892, at Philo, Ill., son of the John D. Harford, he came to Doland with his family in 1906, later lived in the Athol and Chelsea areas. He married Wilkie Collins in 1914, five years later moved to Redfield
Surviving relatives are two sons, Cecil and Wendell, Redfield, six daughters, Mrs. Dora Esser, Redfield, Mrs. Geneva Hoffman, Aberdeen, Mrs. Gladys Royce, Rome, N.Y., Mrs. Mavis Tubandt, Redfield, Mrs. Arlene Ewing, Hill City, and Mrs. Dorothy Oliver, Redfield; four brothers, one sister, 22 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
His wife and one daughter preceded him in death.
