Robert Weighnel Hardee, 75, died June 7, 2004.
He was born in Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee, to Lucy Leona Hardee and Unknown Hardee. His father and mother were 1st cousins, but it is uncertain just what his father's name was. He claimed Vurnel Moore, his step-father, as his dad until his death. He lived for a time in Oklahoma in Wagoner, Broken Arrow, and Tulsa. He was a resident of Fort Pierce since 1986, when he and his wife, Ruth, moved there from Wagoner, Okla.
Bob was married multiple times. His first wife was an Italian lady, Rose (last name unknown), to whom he was married for 19 years. They had no children. He was married for a time to a lady by the name of Donna (last name unknown), and they, also, had no children. His third, and final wife, was Ruth McCauley, of Ft. Pierce, Florida. He and Ruth had a rocky marriage, and were married three times and divorced twice. They were together at the time of his death, and they, also, had no children.
Bob served his country in the service of the US Army.
Bob spend a good portion of his life working in Detroit, Michigan, working in the automobile district. Bob was a funeral director in Wagoner, Oklahoma. He also traveled into Tulsa to work side jobs at several funeral homes there. He spent a few years working in Tulsa, Oklahoma for Patterson Steel.
He was a member of Southside Christian Church in Fort Pierce.
He loved to garden and work jigsaw puzzles, and was an excellent card player.
Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Lucy Leona Moore and his step-father, Fredrick Vurnell Moore of Wagoner, Oklahoma; one brother, Robert Bryson Moore of Lucy, Tennessee; and four sisters; Dorothy Louise Armer and Lucy Juanita Moore of Wagoner, Oklahoma; Martha Ann Reinholtz of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Francis Kay "Little Kay" Moore of Lucy, Tennessee.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years of the home, Ruth Annette McCauley Hardee; one brother, James Vurnell Moore of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and four sisters; Agnes Loraine Johnson and Shirley May Bacon of Wagoner, Oklahoma, Lois Lillian Neel of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Lela Pauline Allenbaugh of Kansas.
He was cremated and his wife took possession of his ashes. A memorial is scheduled for 10 am Friday at the Southside Christian Church. Arrangements are being handled by the Yates Funeral Home in Ft. Pierce, Florida.
