Alice DeZurik: The funeral service for Alice DeZurik was held on Saturday, February 10th, 2007 at Riverside Presbyterian Church in Sartell, MN. Alice DeZurik was born to Edward and Rosamond (Shaw) Marsh on June 1, 1908, in Osakis, Minnesota. She moved with her family to Sartell in 1917. After Graduation from Technical High School in St. Cloud, Alice completed studies at business school, and worked as a secretary to the manager of Watab Paper Company in Sartell. On June 17, 1929, she married David DeZurik, and for many years they made their home in Sartell. She served as her husband's secretary during the founding and early years of DeZurik Corporation. After the birth of her children, she chose to devote most of her time to parenting and homemaking, roles she carried out with exemplary love, grace, dignity, patience, acceptance, and understanding. Alice and her family lived in St. Cloud from 1949 to 1962, and in Pompano Beach, Florida, until three years ago, when they returned to Minnesota. Her husband of 77 years passed away last July. Alice is survived by daughters, Joann Cierniak and Janet Faulhaber (Gene), and sons, Donald (Mary Jean) and Michael (Rita), fifteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her son, David Jr., her son-in-law, Joseph Cierniak, her grandson, Peter Faulhaber, her sisters, Wilma Marsh and Escha Peterson, and her brother, Blaine. The family requests memorials to Centracare Hospice Foundation. Arrangements made by the Williams Funeral Home, St. Cloud.
