Son of Clarence Pete Belt and Lydia Board. Married 1st wife Louisa Belt on 5 Aug 1944 in Crittenden, Kentucky (marriage ended in divorce.)Paul and Lou had 2 daughters Kimberley Ann and Dayna Lee.
He then married his 2nd wife Phyllis Marie Deck in May 1968.
Paul served in the U.S. Army, fighting against Nazi, Germany in 1944. In one particular battle, he was buried alive by a bomb-shell, his injuries lead him to an England hospital in which he stayed until he was sent home. He earned a Purple Heart.

PAUL BELT, 62, 3000 Clarcona Road, Apopka, died Tuesday. Born in Marion, Ky., he moved to Apopka from Orlando in 1975. He was a television technician. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the DAV. Survivors: wife, Phyllis; daughters, Dana Moore, Orlando, Kim Clayton, Utah; stepson, Charles Childers, Fort Ord, Calif.; sister, Irene; 10 grandchildren. Woodlawn Funeral Home, Orlando.
