Born at Cleveland #4 coal mining camp to James Edward Remster and Rosa Ellen Goodwin Remster. He had been a semi-pro baseball player for several teams in Iowa, a coal miner, a lumberyard foreman, a supervisor of the primer line in the Iowa Ordnance plant, a radar and x-ray installer, and a farmer and rancher. As a young man, he also did bare knuckled boxing at the coal camps for extra money. Worked at the Kaiser Shipyards during WW II building Victory and Libery ships.
Rolley, his wife Lillian, and their son, Harold ("Pete") Remster moved to Wyoming in 1945. He was the president of the Chugwater Telephone Company, Chugwater Lodge #23, AF & AM WY Consistory #1, Laurel Leaf Chapter Order, Chugwater Gun Club, coached Little League teams, and served on the International Supreme Council, Order of DeMolay.
Father of two sons, Harold Edward "Pete" Remster (born September 22, 1930, Lucas County, Iowa), and James Earl Remster (born July, 20, 1946, WY).
Rolley died from a massive heart attack travelling the highway between Chugwater and Cheyenne, WY.
