༻✿ Rachel Edith Hale Powel, whom everyone called Aunt Rachel, married John William Powell on May 23, 1914 in Springfield, Clark County, Ohio at the Methodist parsonage.
Known children of John and Rachel Edith Hale Powell:
1) Cora Alice Powell, born August 28, 1915, Lawrenceville, Ohio, died in 1994;
2) Miriam Powell, born March 4, 1917, Lawrenceville, Ohio, deceased;
3) Thomas Herman Powell, born June 1, 1919, Springfield, Clark County, Ohio, deceased.
G-Aunt Rachel was a quiet woman. She was a devoted wife and mother and excellent homemaker.
G-Aunt Rachel was very loved and missed by the family. May she always rest in the peace of God.

We believe Rachel's remains are at the mausoleum. She was cremated. It is in question if her wishes were carried out to be sprinkled in the Pacific Ocean. Her remains may be in storage. We cannot determine this at this time.
