She was the daughter of Guthrie Moore Scott and Katherine Faeth of Oroville WA. She had an older brother Donald Frederick Scott and a twin brother, Sgt Edward A Scott.
She attended the University of Washington.
In October 1942, she was hired as a ferry pilot in the Women's Auxiliary Ferrying Squadron of the Air Transport Command. She had been stationed at Love Field, Dallas, TX and at Palm Springs Army Air Base, CA.
She was killed along with her Instructor Pilot, 2nd Lt Robert M Snyder, in aircraft BC-1 #37-652, involving a mid-air collision with aircraft P-39Q #42-19531, piloted by Lt Wilson A Young. The crash occurred approximately three miles southeast of Palm Springs, California.
She was one of thirty-eight WWII WASPs killed while in the service of their country.
